Academic Reading & Writing

Strengthen reading comprehension, academic vocabulary and written communication through engaging, age-appropriate texts and structured writing activities. Students learn to identify key information, analyse arguments, organise ideas and produce clear, accurate writing for academic purposes.

Critical Thinking, Vocabulary & Grammar

Develop analytical thinking and language accuracy through problem-solving, discussions and evidence-based reasoning. Teenagers expand their vocabulary, strengthen grammatical understanding and learn to evaluate information, consider alternative perspectives and communicate their conclusions confidently.

How We Teach Teenagers

Personalised Learning

Every teenager learns differently. We begin by understanding each student's English proficiency, academic needs, interests and aspirations. Lessons are then adapted to provide appropriate support and intellectual challenge, helping students strengthen their knowledge, confidence and independence.

Active Learning & Critical Thinking

Our lessons combine clear explanations, guided practice, meaningful discussions, debates and problem-solving activities. Students are encouraged to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, express their opinions and develop the reasoning skills needed for academic and personal development.

Feedback & Measurable Progress

Effective learning requires clear objectives, purposeful practice and constructive feedback. We assess students' progress in speaking, listening, reading, writing and language accuracy, identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Regular feedback helps students understand their achievements and take greater responsibility for their learning.

Your Teenager's Progress Matters

We believe teenagers should understand their progress and take an active role in their learning. Through clear objectives, regular assessment and constructive feedback, we help students recognise their strengths, address areas for improvement and develop greater independence.

Parents are kept informed of their teenager's development, while students are encouraged to reflect on their achievements, set meaningful goals and take responsibility for their academic progress.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What level of English does my teenager need to begin?

Teenagers should ideally have a basic understanding of English at CEFR A1–A2 level or above. Students should be able to understand simple instructions, recognise familiar vocabulary and participate in basic conversations.

An initial assessment helps us understand each student's current abilities, identify learning needs and determine an appropriate starting point.

How are lessons adapted to my teenager's academic needs?

Our lessons are personalised according to each student's English proficiency, academic requirements and learning goals.

Teaching combines structured explanations, guided practice, reading and writing activities, discussions and critical-thinking tasks.

Where appropriate, lessons also support school examinations, academic writing, presentations and preparation for future educational opportunities.

How will I know my teenager is making progress?

We monitor progress through ongoing assessment, observation, purposeful learning activities and constructive feedback.

Students develop their speaking, listening, reading, writing and reasoning skills against clear learning objectives.

Parents receive feedback on achievements, areas requiring improvement and recommended next steps. Teenagers are also encouraged to evaluate their own progress and become increasingly independent learners.
